Abscessed Tooth
When a tooth has become abscessed or infected, we usually find that tooth decay is the cause. Tooth decay advances deep into the tooth which may then lead to symptoms such as pain and swelling around the infected tooth.
Our first and primary concern is to save your tooth. We can usually treat an abscessed tooth by draining it or if necessary performing a root canal therapy to save the tooth.
If you have any concerns that your tooth may be infected, please call our office immediately as early intervention is key to successfully saving your tooth.
We can also apply special sealants and varnishes to stop cavities from even forming.
