TMD (temporomandibular joint disorders)

Just like teeth grinding (see bruxism), patients sometimes find themselves waking up with jaw pain. If this condition continues and eventually affects the temporomandibular joint (which connects your lower jaw to your skull), TMD can adversely affect the gums, bone and teeth structures of the mouth.

If you hear a clicking or popping sound when you open or close your mouth, or experience headaches, tooth sensitivity, jaw or facial pain, please let us know. We may be able to help you by designing a custom night guard that should prevent you from clenching or grinding your teeth while you sleep.
