Crowns and Bridges
Crowns and bridges are fixed prosthetic devices which are cemented onto existing teeth or implants.
Bridges are commonly used to replace one or more missing teeth. We use porcelain over high noble metal to make bridge appliances. Bridges are barely noticeable and aesthetically will be pleasing to you.
Crowns strengthen damaged teeth and can also improve a tooth’s appearance, shape and alignment. After we evaluate your oral health, we can recommend if you need a crown to:
- fill a cavity when there is not enough tooth structure to support a filling;
- protect a weak tooth from fracturing any further;
- restore a fractured tooth;
- cover a dental implant;
- cover a discolored or poorly shaped tooth;
- cover a tooth that had root canal treatment.
